Why is this movie so underrated?
I personally think this movie deserves to be on par with The Breakfast Club and Fast Times at Ridgemont High, I love the situations the boys have gotten into on Losin' It.

While I share your love for the movie, I don't think it's on par with TBC or Fast Times. Reason being, is that Losin' it is what I term as a "purely 80's fun" movie. It's a funny movie, don't get me wrong, but FTARH and TBC had something serious to say, along with being very funny, also. That being said, I used to rent this movie once a month during my teen years. Jackie Earl Haley is hilarious in it! The movie is an underrated 80's gem along with The Flamingo Kid, Fraternity Vacation, The Toy, and My Bodyguard, to name a few.

The only movie that I've seen that you've mentioned is The Toy, I would like to check out Fraternity Vacation and Spring Break sometime, they seem like they're the 80's feelgood movies that are worth checking out, I like watching the 80's movies quite a bit.
shareThose are definitely good, fun 80's movies! I highly suggest My Bodyguard, The Flamingo Kid, and I forgot another underratted 80's gem--The Last American Virgin. The Flaming Kid, with Matt Dillon, is set in the 60's but it came out in the 80's.

I have heard of The Last American Virgin but I haven't seen it, have you ever seen Party Camp before? I like watching good fun 80's movies :)

Losin' It was fun but it was not a classic like The Breakfast Club and Fast Times at Ridgemont High.It was one of the early works of Tom Cruise and Shelley Long it probably why some would consider it a classic film.It has nothing much to offer except fun and laughter.

I watch a comedy like this one here as well for the fun, laughter, and also for the good nudity in movies but they do not make movies like this anymore though.

I love 80's movies too- I can watch Making The Grade over and over. Classic! Love when Judd Nelson struts into the dorm and checks the pay phone coin slot. Dana Olsen is great in it too and later he wrote The Burbs which is another 80's classic I can watch over and over. Of course the funniest movie is Caddyshack but there are so many other classics of the 80's...
