actual citadel cadets......

I am not a Citadel cadet or in the military, but I love the book. I can't say for sure, but I'm fairly confident that no one has ever been thrown off a 100 foot high ledge in a bag and left hanging in midair all day, force fed food they are allergic to and ending up in the hospital where they almost die, tying up a naked cadet to a bed while crickets are dumped on them, forcing a freshman to wear urine soaked clothes, burning cadets with cigarrettes, or an upperclassmen taking a piece of a freshman's tongue the freshmen bit off during a seizure, and pickling it and keeping it on his desk, ever happened. These would be considered criminal actions, whether or not you were a cadet, and if they were true, I'm confident charges would be brought against not only the students responsible, but the Citadel itself.
