'She can't be anybody if she doesn't have an escort'

I LOVE how this is repeated a few times in case we missed it.

FABULOUS movie, unbelievable piece of camp and huge laughs in every single scene. Never has a movie gone more wrong than this one.

Whoever can watch the opening sequence where little Jeri Lee wins her high school award and the audience erupts as if she's been handed the Nobel prize, followed by the schoolmarm who shuts down her acceptance speech (apparently because she's being to controversial in talking about "sitting at home" and "writing (my) stories"), this is one helluva movie. Pure entertainment in its resolute badness.

Nadir in moviemaking.
