Why do I love this movie?

To sum it up simply: Incredibly Inappropriate Music!

Like the jazz exploration during the lake attacks, or the cheesy pop ballad while the puppets tear at eachother. And then there's the mystery of the Japanese country western band at the lake. Every time I see this I just wonder what they were thinking.

My favorite is the funky disco when the pterodactyl/rhamphorhynchus makes it's first appearance. Makes me want to get my boogy on every time.

^ LOL that made me laugh. This movie was ok, but the effects weren't the best. It was good for it's time though I'd say.

Yes, YES--disco pteranodon attack. Absolutely. I saw this scene in 1986 and was just flabbergasted. It was wrong, and yet in a totally bizarre way it worked!
