...and recognized him/herself into it.

There are a lot of close shots, like the guy with the eagle on his black t-shirt, or the smiling girl going to work etc etc.

I've wondered this too - imagine how magical it would be to see yourself in one of those scenes! I always find it really moving and poignant looking into the eyes of those people, frozen in that moment of time, just carrying out their day-to-day routine...

I agree, and it's something that makes this film very haunting.

I also wonder how they were able to film all those people and use them in the film without getting their permission. Or maybe they did get their consent.

i doubt those people would see a movie like this. ever.

i agree about the privacy issue though.. guess it wasn't a thing in the 1980s
