you will never stop to help anyone on the highway. I watched this when it premiered in 1983 on TV and I have remembered it.

Me too. I watched it on TV in 1983 and it was one of the most brutal movies I had seen on TV. Now it is being remade as Last Rampage with Robert Patrick and Bruce Davidson. I won't be watching this one for sure.
