1. This's probably the most tragic movie I have ever watched in my life!

2. Did anyone else noticed photographs (at least 2 (two)) of another great Indian actress Smeeta Patil on the wall of Shubhash-Nassiruddin Shah's studio?

3.One more Hindi movie of Mrinal Sen named GEnesis is also shot in a totally ruined village featuring Nasir, Om and Shabana Azmi.

4. Ompuri's voice is used for cart-driver Harihar who probably doesn't speak Hindi, same seems to be the case with the voice of the woman who plays Shabana's mother (Geeta Sen?).

5. Does anyone knows the origin of the quote Nassir speaks in the movie? "time of the prologue is eternity "?
