What the **** did i just watch?

I decided to watch it since it's Halloween. I don't think i've ever seen something so surreal and far out.

Guess that's a compliment

For more surreal and far out movies, I'd suggest these (if you haven't seen them yet):
Possession (1981)
Anguish (1987)
House (1977)
Suspiria (1977)
Inland Empire (2006)

Here's a list with more that are in a similar strange vein: http://www.imdb.com/list/IYRDQ_yLsWo/

Felt the same way the first time I saw this. Then read the book and there is good reason why the author hated this film. Still it is very atmospheric and the music is different to say the least. Streaming it again, unusual horror film perfect for Hallowen.

I've watched the film multiple times now and I still don't entirely get it. Nevertheless, it's never boring and the cast, especially Jurgen Prochnow, rocks.

I love to love my Lisa.

The book its based on is the first in a series of books culminating in the outstanding Nightworld. Much is explained there. It's a fascinating history shared by Glaeken and the monster (Rasolom), more than worth a read.

Love The Keep. I recently purchased all 6 books. Looking forward to reading them... someday.

Enjoy the books! Trust me once you start reading it you won't be able to put any of them down. Actually The series was expanded to include another line of books that the author wrote called the repair man Jack series. They all culminate in the apocalyptic masterpiece called night world.

Not really interested in any of the Repairman Jack novels, that's why I avoided getting any of the revised editions of the Adversary Cycle. From what I've read those expanded editions can make things a little confusing if your not familiar with the Repairman Jack books.
