It seems to me that much of Lady Gaga's storyline this season was borrowed from this movie, particularly her Deneuve-like portrayal of the Countess.
shareYeah, that's what Ryan Murphy has done with his show from the beginning. They "borrow" elements from horror movies. Gaga's characters is a Miriam knock-off, minus the ankh necklace.

shareI agree, both the aesthetic of herself and her many lovers seemed reminiscent of Bowie and the lady in this, and also the fact they cut the throats of their victims rather than drinking straight from the vein. It was also similar how Gaga got easily bored of her lovers and replaced them, although it was partially explained by the fact they nearly all resembled her first true love.
