Remarkably strong tight little known film

I found this film very much worth watching, not only for the story line, but also to see how it would all come out in the end. Good acting, good story line, nicely filmed and strongly directed. For those of you looking for a war action film, this is not it. But for those of you looking for an intelligent movie with varying themes, don't pass this by.

I saw this film years ago (around the late 80s or so)...and really liked it; I'll have to track it down somewhere so I can watch it again. Looks like Netflix doesnt have it though.

I've seen this on Hungarian TV a few years ago. I could never track it down since then. The director and staff could be happy back then as they had a famous US actor in the film. Hair was a very popular movie here back in the 1980s.

"Brady's Escape" was very well directed and acted, and it's always great to see John Savage, whose films are way to obscure. I always wonder how a fairly big name like that gets attached to a foreign-made film, but I'm glad he made it.

I was fortunate enough to find this for a dollar at a video store. Money well spent! 7/10 stars.

I agree this is a great little film ... but there is one HUGE loose end ... does Brady not go back after the war to find the woman? Last we saw her she was trying to help him escape and she was on the train ... held captive ... rolling away.

Perhaps we can assume she was sent to meet the great horse trainer in the sky ... freakin Nazis!
