Great Quote From Movie

There is a line in the movie that has stuck with my darling wife and me
for all these many years. Whenever either one of us (mainly me) gets
impatient with something, we look at the other and quote the line: "The
ox is slow but the earth is patient." It always brings a smile to our
faces, as we both remember this movie. They don't make movies like this
anymore.

I also thought that was a neat quote!

That is a good one.

I use a line from this movie with my wife as well, "I should have sold you when I had the chance."

I loved how he explained how he shot down 12 german pilots over verdun, about them being just boys and scared, and "they should have been going to school not war" that was so well acted, sellock should have been in more bigger budget flicks he was so underused and rated, its sad,he had the acting chops, the build and looks, what a waste in a way

"SPEEEEEAAAAAKK!"

"Look at my Dorothy!"

reply

Every once in awhile my wife or I will look at each other and say; "Speeeaaak!" We've been doing it for years.

reply

Likewise my hubby and I.
We can be in a queue of traffic or in a shop, and my husband will say to me ' the oxen is slow' and I reply '-but the earth is patient.....'

We loved this fim and still do. Not least for Struts. He was wonderful!
