Bluray Audio off?

I had to buy the Region B Bluray as it was way cheaper than the North American Region A. My player will play it, but I don't know if it's me or what, but it seems like the voices are a bit "high". I've read this could be due to the FPS rate difference of Regions.

So I played it using my BluRay Burner & watched on my computer. Tom Selleck's voice seems okay, but Bess Armstrongs seems high or whiney. Even from some other Online sources her voice sounds the same.

Has anyone else noticed her voice sounds high? Is that how she sounds or is there something wrong with the disc?

We're all in strung out shape, but stay frosty, and alert.

The US shoots its features at 24fps, while the rest of the world shoots film at 25fps. It's probably not the playback, but more likely a different audio mix when the disk was being authored.

Otherwise both lead actors sound okay to me.

With very few exceptions all movies are shot at 24fps worldwide.

What happened here is that the Region B edition the OP bought is likely one of the editions sourced from a 50Hz master originally done for TV or DVD in PAL territories. My guess the OP got the Australian edition which supposedly is 1080i50 as the UK one is reportedly 1080p24 like the North American release.
