Tom Selleck's worst

I enjoy Tom Selleck's acting, but in my opinion this movie was ruined by three things: many extremely long, unnecessarily drawn out scenes, continual implausible behavior on the parts of the main characters and the Bess Armstrong character, Eve 'Evie' Tozer's continual, over-the-top, hostility towards Selleck's character. The cliche'd "I'm a woman, I can do anything even jump in a biplane without any training and immediately fly like a WWI ace, shooting and bombing better than the hero."

PU-LEEZ! GIVE ME A BREAK!

The entire time I squirmed through watching this movie I was hoping that it would end, but it went on and on and on. Then suddenly, after an hour and a half of the two main characters hating each other, we're supposed to believe that they fell in love and ran off together in the end

Oh well, I'm sure for Tom this one was a learning experience.

Wrong.

reply

No, it was a good movie. Armstrong's character being able to fly was to show Selleck's character that she could fly just as well as he could. That didn't make her an Ace, which is a pilot whose scored more than six aerial kills.

reply

Actually, to become an ace you need to get five kills.

reply

I stand corrected.

reply

But is your corrected stance retroactive to May 2014? That is the question.

reply

A horribly bland, unrealistic, rambling film. A small film trying to be an epic. An epic fail.
