Rotoscoped 'King Kong' (1933) fight for 'Hercules'?

I never rented "Hercules", but I remember seeing it years ago on T.V. I saw the beginning, through the chariot in space, left, and came back to witness "Hercules' FINAL battle!" I lost it when I realized, when good ol' Herc turned into a gorilla, and whomever he was fighting turned into a sea serpent, that the whole sequence was rotoscoped from "King Kong" (1933), when Kong takes Fay Wray (Ann Darrow) into his love den (cave), and Bruce Cabot (Jack Driscoll) follows them into the aformentioned den/cave, and the sea serpent slithers out of the water toward Miss Darrow. She screams, and Kong fights the serpent. I about soiled myself laughing so hard! I'm sure that was the end of the first "Hercules"- if I'm wrong, let me know (maybe it was the sequel!) Thanks! Te scene with the gorrilla is not in the 1983 Hercules movie. It is the conclusion of the 1985 Hercules movie. They also rortoscoped the end fight from the 1983 movie between Minos and Hercules.

Thanks- I wasn't sure if I was correctly remembering seeing that or not. I'd like to see them again, but they're such old movies, my local Blockbuster and Hollywood don't carry them anymore. I guess I'll have to buy them. It's cool to see them both in one collection. I just can't imagine for the life of me why Ferrigno (and Chris Reeve for 'Superman 4') would honestly think that Cannon would make their movies turn out good! I guess Menaham and Yoran had persuasiveness in great abundance!

It reminded me more of the fight from 1976's King Kong, but now that I look at it, you're totally right!

I burst out laughing. I just couldn't believe they'd be so audacious as to trace the outlines from King Kong during that final fight. They must have assumed it wasn't something worth suing over because Turner (owners of Kong at the time) could have nailed them for that.
