The TV Version

I remember watching the TV version of this film and the hilarious dubbing over of coarse language for the sake of censorship. When the ex-wife of the rich boss runs across Alex dining with him, Alex explicitly says during the end of the conversation, "I **** his brains out", but in the TV version, she says - in a dubbed over voice - "We made wild passionate love!".

Then there was the scene where she makes up with the boss at the construction site and says, "You ticked me off" instead of the other word describing urinary functions. I only saw that TV version once and I don't think it was ever shown again. I remember it also contained extended scenes not shown in the theatrical release. I admit the dubbed over censorship to hide coarse language was hilarious.

I don't think they do that anymore. I remember watching a TV version of "8 Mile" and all the 'F' words were silently censored out, making it sound like the rappers had a case of the hiccups during their performances.
