Making a Point or Just Sick?

On the interviews on the dvd of this film the director is quoted 'i'm trying to show people that there's more to life than getting a sun-tan' (or something). Does anyone believe any of this 'i'm trying to make a point' stuff or do you just think this film is sick gore?

Me too! Next I'll be told I'm going to some Mythical place called hell, right? It's a movie, it's 90% fake with some NEWS FOOTAGE edited in. The original crew says as much in the “Dark Side Of Porn” series that covers faces of death multiple times. News Footage, most seen ON THE NEWS, not leftovers, but real footage that was shown on news stations. The “your sick” statements is basically saying the entire world that has ever watched the news (Aside from the over sensitive American audience) is also sick in the head. We're all retarded freaks deserving to be locked up and exorcised of our daemons. Right? That was the point, right.
LOL

I watched the first one and it made me feel dirty and felt very exploitive. However, the second one did seem more like a documentary. I caught myself wondering if the moral social commentary was genuine or just something to say while they can get to the points of showing gore. Because in all truth, it wasn't extremely gory. I felt like I was watching a documentary most of the time. Way less sleazy than the first.
