Why are there strings attached to Wendel's sax??

Why in the world are there "invisible" strings attached to Wendell's sax!? Was there a scene cut where it magically levitates into the air!!

It was very noticeable on the DVD, I saw it the first viewing (The scene when they are practicing on a roof, creating Darkside); it is also in the Trivia:

Revealing mistakes: When "On The Darkside" is first played (first by Frank, then by the band) you can see strings attached to Wendell's saxophone.

That would have been awesome.

that's weird cuz i've never read that or heard that before ... but i've also read the guy playing wendell could actually play sax so it wouldn't be for like 'marionette-puppet' fingers for the sax ... which would be a pretty ridiculous way to fake it lol

maybe it was because wendell was a junkie and the sax was just too heavy for him to hold up :)

take care,

I just noticed that for the first time today - I was sure it was just lens flare.

Noticed it the very first time I saw the film - It's definitely lens flare/reflection - The sun shining off the sax and across the lens glass.

Yes.. I just got the blu-ray DVD of the original movie and the sequel. I saw the "strings" too... thought it was strange.. but like someone else here said.. if that sax had levitated in the air... that would have been supremely cool! :-)
