out in Feb on region 1

Do you think it will be cut though? like all the "homophobic" stuff? i hope not

reply

It should be left as it was originally done.

That's my view.

reply

Just watched it. It will be out Tuesday. It doesn't seem to be cut, there's all the homophobic jokes, etc. Including two (pretty lame) deleted scenes

Just got it.

reply

Same here, I just saw it for the first time and cracked UP!

Can anyone tell me what the brand new interview included in the dvd is like? What are some of the things Eddie said?

reply

Its half interview half reminicing. But it was quite good. Eddie talks about his major influences in his standup career, his worst night doing standup, he talks about Delirious and the suit he wore, his favourite parts of Delirious, a possible return to standup, his beginnings in standup, his moving career, his coming to Hollywood for the first time, touring etc. Its a shame its only 30 minutes long, he's actaully really funny in the interview too, I cracked up a few times, he's still got it, I just wish he'd think about doing another standup routine like the old days.

reply

Was the interview he made done especially for this DVD?

Updated! Congrats Eddie: http://axelfoleypresentsstandup.spaces.msn.com/

there are missing parts like when he does his father telling his mother she can't use the phone ever.
'no phone for lillian!"

dude thats on eddie murphy raw not delirious

reply

thanx dude i thought i was missing something

reply

This was an extremely long time coming. This is one of the most legendary stand up routines and every second it was not on dvd was an outrage.

We may never get the Delirious Eddie anymore but at least we can watch this film and cherish the memories.

Why didn't anyone save Arrested Development

reply

Well said, cooplander. I know Eddie can still be very funny, and 'IF' he does decide to go back to stand-up, you can imagine how it will sell out at every city he visits.

No, they're still intact.

Just got the DVD today, and I must say, the interview is not only very insightful, but it's just as funny as the stand-up. I was cracking up. I like the part about the first time he bombed on stage. I never laughed so much in my life. Also, there's 3 deleted scenes. The only one that's not hilarious is "the fart game" bit. That one was very unfunny.

Eddie Murphy is a national treasure.

I got this DVD off of Ebay like 2 years ago. Does that mean that it was a bootleg one? I don't know if it is but because it seemed pretty real. It kind of sucks though because when I bought mine I paid $50 :\
