At one point Eddie starts talking about a few guys who "verbally attack" him after he makes a joke about Stevie Wonder. Eddie Murphy says one of the guys say to him "your mamas got a wooden leg, she's got a wooden leg with a kick stand..." What does this mean?

i just joined so i guess i'm a little late with this.
it means that when she takes the wooden leg off, it has a kick stand and is freestanding and she doesn't have to lay it on the floor or lean it against anything.
btw, i can't seem to decipher it from all the notes, but is Delirious available on DVD? i'm trying to get it from Netflix. would appreciate any response.

the kick stand is just there coz shes such a lazy bitch, who can't even stand for a min. one could extrapolate on the bike ride from there. just my two pence anyways.

She has a wooden leg with a kick stand because it just sounds funny. I don't believe he had some special, hidden meaning. Every time I hear it I still laugh over 20 years later. Don't try to decipher it, just enjoy it. Although, to think that she is so lazy that she needs a kick stand for her leg does make the joke seem funnier.

To use a kickstand, you have to "kick"....so if it is on the wooden leg you'll need to use your other foot to kick it, thus losing your balance on the wooden leg....
I took it to mean that she was sexually easy/permiscuous because it casts a visual of her leg routinely kicking up.
shareThere is no hidden meaning to it. It was a VERY old joke in the black comunity by the time Delirious came along. The punchline is simply the visual of how a wooden legged person w/a bike kickstand on the leg would lean while standing.
