I remind of a TV series of Don Camillo which was played by Terence Hill and Colin Blakely like the movie. One episode was based on the ghost of a behaded bandit that appeared in Don Camillo's small town. Anybody else reminds of it? I do not know if it was aired in other countries than Italy.

You may be thinking of Terence Hill's popular TV series "Don Matteo," in which he plays a holy, crime-solving priest in a small town. It's quite entertaining and a number of its episodes are available on DVD.
