Shot in English?

I have a copy of this movie on video, in English with Dutch subtitles. Before I watched it, I had figured that the English would be dubbed, since sources (including the IMDb) give the language of the film as Italian. In fact, though, the actors' mouth movements-- at least, the main actors-- seem to track with the English I'm hearing. Was this film shot in English?

Hi,

on the DVD I found a german and an italian soundtrack - nor an english soundtrack, neither english subtitles.

But since Colin Blakely ("Peppone") is native british, Terrence Hill an immigrated american, Cyril Cuasck raised in ireland, and most of the songs are sung in english in both soundtrack versions, I guess the movie avtually WAS shot in english.

Terrence Hill an immigrated american

Terence Hill is 100% Italian and his real name is Mario Girotti.

Terence did immigrate in USA and he still has a strong american accent. it is easy to mischange him for a true american.

reply

Terence Hill is not 100% Italian. His mother is German and he spent a big part of his childhood days in Dresden (Germany).
