Not a word. And it's all the better for it. believe me. The post-apocalyptic movie has become a little sub-genre of its own and this movie is a stand-out; one of the best - though least celebrated - examples of it. It's a virtuoso piece of storytelling. Luc Besson's first - and best, imo, and arguably superior to recent post-apocalyptic fare like The Road or Book of Eli. Catch it if you can on the big-screen. Occasionally shows up in arthouse runs or Besson retrospectives. Dynamic widescreen compositions in a black and white world where emotions are conveyed solely through action, make it an incredible watch. Jean Reno, incidentally, is in incredible form as the Brute. 9/10
