After the male property squatter kills the father, what do you think happened after that?
Im pretty sure they died outside sooner or later but do you think they harmed the woman and the girl in the house.
Also do you think they made it back from the hospital? I guessing NO
The mother and little sister probably got raped and killed by the squatters.
Older sister was dying already, Danny and Steve might have made it back
After the father was killed. Mom and the younger sister were in deep trouble. I'm thinking after the Jim was killed. It would be only a matter of time before the squatters rushed the house, throw mom and the daughter out, and take it over. If not those squatters. Then it would have been another group that would take the house.
When Jim got home from the meeting and saw the squatters. He should have said nothing and went into the house. Block off the doors and then shoot the squatters.
The older daughter was near death. But so was Steve. Those two had a date for a funeral pyre. Danny was just as screwed. A blind boy living in a nuclear fall out world.
Not much hope for them or the human race.
I see it differently. I think they invited the squatters inside and shared the house with them and tried to make the most out of a bad situation
shareReally? Now I assumed that the killing of the father put Jolene and Mrs Dahlberg in an extremely dire position regarding safety. He was defending the house and did well until he turned his back on the squatters which you never do especially in times of crisis. It's dog-eat-dog at its most gruesome in this situation. In the work print, you actually see Denise coming home with Danny and Klein and finding the screen door to the farm house opening and closing in the wind, suggesting that nobody is left alive in the house because the squatters had raided it, killed the remaining occupants and probably fled off or died from radiation poisoning inside the house.
