Irene Cara Only Appeared For A Couple Of Minutes

She was billed as starring in the movie back in 1983 and the only reason I saw it back then was because I was a big fan of her's. I waited for her to appear and she finally did, but she was only on for a couple of minutes. Needless to say, I was disappointed.

She had more scenes originally, including a big concert scene at the White House where she sings "The Dream", as the cab drivers watch her perform from a distance.

Her scenes were mysteriously cut and I think they only left that one small scene in because they had already spent the money on marketing materials with her name on it, and it would have been totally false advertising if she wasnt in at least one scene.

I have been hoping for many years that an explanation would surface for these strange edits, or that an un-cut version would be released on DVD, but so far no luck. One can only hope.

I only watched this crap for Irene, and she's in it for about 40 seconds. Bullcrap.
