30th Anniversary

Cujo opened in theaters on Friday, August 12, 1983, and this past Monday was its 30th anniversary. I had planned to write this thread last Saturday, but it completely slipped my mind, so here it is, a few days late. But I was 15 then, between ninth and tenth grade, and I saw it in a theater one weekday afternoon the following week. The summer of 1983 was the first really big movie going summer for my family and me, as my mother and sister saw 7 different movies in theaters, I saw 8, and even my grandmother got in on it, seeing 2. Cujo was the eighth and last movie I saw that summer, and the only one I saw alone, as my mother and sister did not see it. But I liked it, and saw it a few more times in the following years on our VCR, and last year brought it on DVD and watched it Thursday night. And I read the book by Stephen King over a few days in April, 1997 in a public library, along with three other novels of his. And I also liked the novel, it became my favorite King novel, and I often read parts of it again over the following years.
