In the scene in which Tim and his wife are coming with a bucket to get some water from Marjory (and also when they´re leaving), there is this song probably called
"Jacob´s Ladder" ; not sure if it´s sung from actress Toni Hudson(Tim´s wife). Does anyone know more about the song? Thx.
Very famous folk/spiritual song. Yes, it's called Jacob's Ladder (or We Are Climbing Jacob's Ladder) -- that's where MKR got the title for her story. I remember singing the song when I was growing up. Note that quite a bit of the background orchestral music in the film is based on this melody.

You can find many recordings of it. But sample them before buying -- there are numerous pop songs with the same name, and a wide variety of interpretations of the spiritual.
