Love the parts...

I have this movie on VHS.

I simply love the parts where the shrink tells Jerry's character in the movie to look for a book on his desk....and he makes a mess trying to find it....and I like the jolly fats weehawkin plane trip...and of course the slippery office!!!

funny stuff!!

I've been looking for this movie for a while. I always remember the Jolly Fats Weehawking part. It cracked me up at the time, especially the part when he finds the old hermit living up in the mountains. Jerry Lewis asks him how he got there, he responds "Fly Jolly Fats Weehawking". :-)

I've only seen the opening scene where he tries getting around the slippery room, but during the credits, I cracked up seeing one that said something like, "Opening title theme sung by Marcel Masrceau"...and the opening theme song is an instrumental. Maybe there's actually a song in the film sung by MM, but if not, that's a pretty good joke to slip in there(given that MM was a famous mime).

That, and trying to sit, then open a few different types of candies...great opening scene.

funny bits like the mechanic still in the car, and i loved the jackie gleason act from smokey and the bandit, also notice the car just like one in the griswolds vacation movie, only time ive seen that kind of car featured in another movie, and this was made in the same year. i always wondered about this movie made decades after lewis 1950', 60's classics, then there was this made in 1983 same time as he was praised for playing the serious role in king of comedy, and now i've finally gotten to see it, the music setting still looks like the 1960's, some parts seem adlibbed, much seem to be stock footage, and some rough editing i haven't seen in any of the classics, the movie is kind of lewis on the couch with doctor (the actor from odd couple playing the other big part, sammy davis jr is on the cover but only featured a few seconds), recalling which becomes a movie with different skits throughout, the woman making voices made it worthwhile, but always back to the couch and near the end youre wondering when the movie is gonna start off and what the heck youve just been watching.

tomorrow youll be gone,
trying my best this moment to enjoy,
but hanging over me is a dark cloud,
knowing tomorrow won't be no sunshine,
i'll slowly move on as a shell dead inside.
feelin im running out of time,
trying to be here and now,
youre as pretty as ever,
your beauty honey almost getting too much for my heart to handle,
outside is foggy snowy and cold,
while youre keeping it nice and hot,
beggin you to stay,
as the atmospheres fading away,
and here's the new day.
