RIP: Renzo Canestrari dies at 92


BOLOGNA - Professor Renzo Canestrari, one of the leading pioneers of the rebirth of Italian psychology after World War II, founder and reference point of the Bolognese School of Psychology for forty years, had died at 92.

Born in Piagge (Pesaro-Urbino), he had 92 years. Julius student

Orphans and Cesare Cesare Musatti, far ahead of his time already in 1961 supported the need for psychology in the medical training. Emeritus of Psychology, University of Bologna, he received in 1998 by the then mayor Walter Vitali golden Archiginnasio, the highest honor citizen.

Tuesday morning, before the funeral, a memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Bulgarians dell'Archiginnasio.
