I can't believe that Tedde Moore (Miss Shields) was only 37 during the filming of A Christmas Story.
I would've thought she'd be in her late 40's, even Melinda Dillon who was 43 while filming looked younger than her.

IIRC, she was also preggers at the time of the shoot. I think the hair and makeup (or lack thereof) made her look a lot more matronly that she likely was at that time. It would be interesting to see a pic of her at that time when not Miss Shields.
I've totally forgotten all about her being pregnant at the time of the shoot.
