I liked it back in the early 1990s when it was still considered a "cult classic" but somewhere along the lines it got a little too big and overexposed. I'm okay with never seeing it again. Anybody out there agree with me on this?

shareIt's one of those 1980s movies (The Princess Bride is another one) that while having some great scenes and great ideas, is just a little too smug and satisfied with itself. From the first scene to the last, there's an overall "aren't we cool" tone that just grates after too many viewings. I'll never understand how this became a "must see" classic, especially for anyone born after the movie was made.
