I sometimes wonder what would the mother do if Ralphie hadn't finished his homework earlier in the day after Mom punishes him for using the swear word?
shareI would think that would be too bad. Back in those days when you were sent to bed, you were sent to bed for the evening. I would also think he would have to explain to Mrs Shields, but Mrs Shields did not seem to be an ogre so she would probably just give him the option of making it up after school.

shareThis topic reminds me that when I was in school as a kid, I always did my homework right when I got home from school. My older and younger siblings though would never do that. They'd wait til it was bedtime and then stay up doing it. Too bad Ralph wasn't like me either.
