Does anyone have any idea why the mom had the turkey out of the oven sitting on the kitchen table if it wasn't yet fully cooked? She tells the old man not to eat any yet because it's not cooks and he'll get worms, but why would she have it out of the oven sitting on the table?

shareWhenever I've stuffed a turkey, I put the stuffing in before putting the turkey in the oven. I didn't know some people take it out when it's almost done to stuff it?
Also, that was a pretty small turkey for a family of four, especially when adult Ralphie was talking about all the leftovers they would have.
I was wondering what the deal was with the skimpy turkey too and ole Ralphie’s brother ate like a pig! And where was all the Hershey’s chocolate syrup?
