'christmas story' actor reveals how much he makes off the classic film

Zach Ward, 47, who portrayed the 1983 film’s maniacal bully Scut Farkus, told Page Six the amount he receives is somewhat disappointing.

“You’re going to be so disappointed,” Ward told Page Six. “It’s basically about $1,800 every two years … and it comes in in Canadian money because we shot in Canada.”

With all the stories about the studios exploiting child actors, I'm surprised he's getting anything for a five-minute role in a 34 year old movie. Was he even paid $1,800 originally?

If I could choose life's problems, earning hundreds of dollars a year on an acting gig when I was twelve would be the top of my list!
