What town does this take place in?

The dad mentions a game between the Packer and Bears and sounds like a Packers fan the way he rags on the Bears.
So is it in Wisconsin?
I KNOW it was filmed in Cleveland. Is that where it takes place or someplace else?

It says Holman, Indiana.

In the movie, it is Holman, Indiana. The city named in the film is actually a "stand-in" (for a lack of a better term) for the hometown of writer Jean Shepherd, Hammond, Indiana.

The trivia says he's a Bears fan but he refers to them as the "Chicago Chipmunks" so I always thought he was a Packers fan, too.

The mom says "I see Chicago is palying Green Bay", so leading with Chicago I assumed he was a Bears fan just disgruntled with their play.

It is set in the fictional Hohman, Indiana.
