How many scenes are cut from the 24 hour broadcast version, and what are they?

I don't think any scenes. In fact I think I read here the time of the movie is actually too short for a 2 hour program so they add extra commercials.

After reading your post, I looked up the run time. Its only 94 minutes. Considering that most television shows have 42 to 43 minutes of show, and 17 to 18 minutes of advertising, A Christmas Story does come up short for a 2 hour slot.
