New Board Options?

Does anyone have any ideas for a new ACS board? I keep hearing about the site imdb2 but have not looked into it yet.

Yes, I'm seeing options popping up all over abd will paste some links later when I'm at my desktop. There's no reason for our annual tradition to end

I have been saving links to different forums people are suggesting. Some have only just sprouted after the news from IMDB.

http://imdb2.freeforums.net/
http://tvtalk-your-show.forumotion.com/
http://thegotboard.com/
There is also Reddit. Some people have said great things about it, other say its too complicated.

My concern is which of these forums are going to create an influx of spam in my email.

Was a group ever made? Sorry I’m late to the party, but as we get closer to Christmas, I’m beginning to miss this tradition. Never really posted much but loved to read everyone’s posts. Hope this didn’t die because of the change.

Long time ACS board lurker here. I have silently checked in and followed countdowns and comments. Unfortunately the trolls have displaced the family that is this board group. It seems IMDB boards will splinter into various secondary options further dividing and detracting fan bases such as ours.

I sincerely hope this particular group can pick and agree on a new specific site or board to continue our tradition. The clock is ticking but we still have time left. Maybe a senior or longtime member here can choose or at least pick a new meet up spot for the future so this tradition does not die. Perhaps list one site to start for the next board to meet at.

We will be too divided to continue if we are to choose between half a dozen future movie database boards.

Well said melloeric; we need to agree on one place to all go.

What about a closed Facebook group? I have never started one but am a member of a few. The format will definitely take some getting used to but it's an option. It will also cut down on the number of trolls.

I'm open to a FB group or wherever you all agree to go. I've logged onto a few of the suggested sites, but not sure how we would create a space where we could post multiple discussion threads. Time is running out, so I hope someone will create something somewhere and post the link here.
