Character analysis of Buddy Repperton

Buddy Repperton was like the vast majority of real life bullies. A pretender. A jerk and a coward. Henry Bowers from It and Ace Merrill from Stand By Me were tough guys. Same goes for their gangs. Well, except for Peter Gordon and Eyeball. Plus Henry and Ace were psychotic. Buddy and his crew, Moochie, Richie and Don had no problem ganging up on someone. Or going one-on-one with a harmless dork such as Arnie Cunningham. Yet, Buddy and his boys would have never tried the transformation of Arnie fairly. Ever. Arnie became brave, strong, and no longer a geek courtesy of Christine. When Dennis comes to Arnie's rescue in the shop class incident, Moochie and Richie ganged up on Dennis, with Richie tripping Dennis as Moochie shoved him.

Dennis floored Buddy with that nasty right. Being the punks they are, Moochie retaliated by grabbing Dennis by the groin. Needless to say, I was happy when Christine gave the punks their comeuppance.

Aw come on now. Don't be so hard on Buddy, Moochie and the rest of the gang. They seemed like such nice kids. LOL

All you said was that Buddy and his gang where bad dudes, not very insightful since that's what the characters were supposed to be.

Congratulations on having the exact reaction the writers intended for you to have.
