Turkey head shot

I'm a film reviewer who's watching the DVD release of this film right now to review, and I was disturbed by that scene as well. Yes they actually killed the turkey. This isn't uncommon unfortunately in foreign films. You see it a lot in Italian cannibal films, Chinese films and others. It was a different time then and there are different values in different countries with regard to the treatment of animals. Fortunately, for the most part, you really don't see this type of thing going on anymore.
