Careful, He Might Here You - now on new DVD

In May 2007, the wonderful 1984 Australian film "Careful, He Might Here You" was finally given the DVD treatment it has always deserved.

Released by Umbrella Entertainment (an Australian company which specialises in releasing classic Australian films with lush new transfers) in a "2 DISC COLLECTOR'S EDITION", it features a beautifully restored 16:9 anamorphic widescreen print of the film, an extensive stills gallery, trailers, a 30 minute filmed interview with author Sumner Locke Elliot (from 1985), and a brand new fascinating and very watchable 74 minute feature doco tracing the development, production and distribution of the film, with particular attention to the script and characters. It features new interviews (by Mark Hartley) with actors Wendy Hughes and (the now grown-up) Nicholas Gledhill and the film's producer Jill Robb.

I bought it today (in Melbourne, Australia) and was very impressed.

What region is this? Will it play in the USA? If not can anyone in Australia do a transfer for me? I will gladly reimburse you!

Thanks for the information, pearl. Have just ordered the book and when I'm finished will order this DVD. Maybe, I'll order it now. It was such a fantastic movie!! Wish we had more Australian movies here in the states!!!
