Such A Great Film

This is one of my favorite movies of all time, and it's sad to see nobody has ever posted about this classic.
I see this movie at least once a year and it never gets old. I love how the film is shown strictly through the eyes of the little boy P.S. It's heart breaking but thoroughly enjoyable.

I taped it off cable about 20 years ago and the other night dusted off the tape and watched it. It really is a good movie. I wonder what happened to Nicholas Gledhill--must be all grown up now.

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It is so beautifully made and a fascinating story. I had the tape and then, recently, bought the DVD. I also have the book. It's a terrific book. It was hard to find because it was out of print but I managed.

Good film, but I thought the music score was a bit overwrought at times.

Just saw it yesterday evening on a VHS video I bought for a dollar!!! I absolutely loved it! Everything is so full of meaning. The kid (Nicholas Gledhill) is incredible! I was completely forgetting he was acting sometimes and because of that just couldn't believe how talented this kid was. The acting, the scenery, the directing, I loved everything! Except probably the end... which is a bit confusing... To whom was Vanessa married? Was she a widow?Looked like... Gonna watch it again in the future...

reply

Vanessa wasn't married. She had always been in love with Logan but he had fallen in love with and married her sister, 'Dear One.

A very underrated film.

Love this film. It has such an in-depth unfolding. Almost like a novella. The acting is superb. The Art Direction, costumes, directing just magnificent.

I agree ... the greatest Australian film by a country mile.
