I will dig for you but gotta a good story about the Surfer. About the time this was on cable I was around 16-18. ME and one of my best friends said it would be cool to get a tatoo of this. WAY before it was vogue to have a tatoo. Fast forward about 15 years to the mid 90's. My family and I and my buddies I grew up with were celebrating one our own getting his Masters at a pool party. My best friend gets out of the pool and he has the tatoo of the Surfer. I said man thats a cool tatoo when did you get it? He goes you dont remember? Uhh no. We were drunk at the beach and you passed out at the hotel and never made it. I even forgot getting ragged about it later on...strange world

i think it's vol. 2... late 70's early 80's stuff, norrin still hadn't gotten his due respect yet... not until vol. 3 in the late 80's. I actually rented this movie 'cause of something i read in bullpen bulletin... or was it marvel age? i can't remember, it was so long ago. anyway it mentioned that silver surfer had a "cameo" in this film, albeit through narrative or a cover shot but was mentioned nonetheless. so i watched it and kind of enjoyed it.

btw stall, ya shoulda got the tatt. :)

The first book Jesse reads in the movie has Silver Surfer #18's cover (1970, I believe) (jack kirby art), but the inside panels are from issue #1 (john buscema art)...

I'll tell you exactly... Vol 1, #1, #11, and #18...

First comic he reads in Vegas is #18

Second scene with comic at the news stand is #1

Third scene at Monica's is #11 (cover with green costume on the girl, not red variant)

....#11, and #18 will run you about $50 in fair condition.. #1 is about $500 in fair condition.
