The first 'live' remote text in this film?

About 2/3of the way through the film, the couple fake a fight, talk to each other over the phone, both have a bulky portable computer, Walken's character types 'I am crazy about you' and it is received in real time to his wife on another portable.... I think that is a first in movies...Am I wrong?
