Blue Thunder in Firefox movie...

That's right Blue thunder makes a cameo in the 1982 movie "Firefox". It's when Clint Eastwood flies Firefox off that iceberg, & The Sub's crew are setting up a tent to fool the Russians....And this Gazelle is flying in, But a close up of the crew when their looking through the cockpit window...You can see the signs..Like the window is bigger then what is shown in the air scene. The seats are barely visible, But it's Blue Thunders. & the Surv/Mikes can be seen up above the crew through the canopy, & you can see the Starboard engine pod also with barely enough room on the screen to see the #2. The far shot of the Gazelle, There is no Surv/Mikes. WOW!! I guess we must have stolen Blue Thunder from U.S.S.R. the very next year. There really was a secert about that chopper...even more so then what murphy thought. Next, We'll hear that Airwolf too was made by the Russians, & Not Dr. Moffet.

I noticed this also. Since Firefox was made in 1982 it seems thay borrowed the prop quite early in the production of Blue Thunder to have used it. Interesting that it was black - perhaps it was later painted blue for Blue Thunder.

Firefox is a great film little film.
