This movie is far superior to 90% of todays movies, including several academy award nominees. Why is it not available on DVD? Some genuine Schlock is available, however. What does that say about our tastes?

It's not only unavailable on DVD, it's never shown on the Fox Movie Channel. I assume that Fox still owns the rights (at least the U.S. rights) to the film, and is fully capable of running it. But, they don't.

BRING OUT SEASON THREE OF THE GREAT ONCE AND AGAIN ON DVD!

Don't even get me started on excellent movies that have never made their way to the rack but then they find the bandwidth to add others you wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole.

If you've got a DVD recorder, it's appearing in November 2010 on Flix movie channel in the States.
