Um, what?

Another pinter movie, The Caretaker, is rated 7.2

This is rated 7.1, and yet, is vastly inferior

I love the play, but this was poorly acted most of the time (scene three stood out as being quite good if I remember), and the editing/camerawork was sloppy. I can honestly say that with the resources these people had, I could have done an infinitely better job with three of my friends

Why do people act like this was some brilliant production? It's so mediocre and asinine, some things are just needlessly changed, some lines are just blurted out without any semblance of emotion put into them. I'd expect so much better with the actors, not to mention the budget and general support that this film had

Does anyone share my thoughts or am I just insane?

I think it's just you, Eeyore.

I thought this was a great adaptation, and Ben Kingsley was particularly good, never better in fact.

I used to want to change the world. Now I just want to leave the room with a little dignity.

I rate it 6/10 because I think the performances were decent and I liked that it experiments with the narrative that way but it isn't great.
