Anna's Reverie on Mp3. Anyone want it?

Here's my story.

I saw "Anna" on Television, sometime in mid 80's during my High School Years.
The Story was excellent, Had minor crush on Martha Byrne "Anna", & was haunted from then on with the tune "Reverie".

Ever since, the tune would creep up in the back of my mind, from time to time.

Years later when i first got access to the Net, I would hunt for the song, with my only clue was "Reverie" with no luck... (I didn't even know the Name of the Movie)

Eventually I found other people on Newsgroups looking for the same thing, and finally got the Movie's Title..

First I got the Book, and Thanks to Ebay, I finally get my hands on an old VHS (Rental).

From reading the end titles, I learned that "reverie" is actually "Anna's Reverie" written by composer Paul Baillargeon Sung by Christine Andreas
German Lyrics by Charles & Marion Linton

With this new info, I dove back to searching for the song itself.
Peer to Peer, etc.. Nothing.. or worse, fake files. Arghhh!

A week ago I got an early Christmas Gift. A VHS to DVD copier/recorder.
And what was the first movie I converted? Yep. Anna..
Then I downloaded a program that "Rip's" the Audio from a DVD and saves it on mp3.

So now I FINALLY have the mp3 of Anna's Reverie.. And I want to share with my fellow Anna fans.

Thanks! :)

I've been wanting to hear that tune for a long time...
In my mind i only remembered the piano-version, but after all these years (i was maybe 12 years old or so when i saw the movie) i remembered the main theme exactly :)

Thanks so much! I think it's a very pretty song. It's a shame few people seem to notice it.

Thank you. This is truly appreciated. That is all I can say.

Thanks for posting this! :)

When I see the words "Reverie" I always think of this movie.

"no Clara don't play Reverie!"

Thank you!! I've been seeking information on this hauntingly beautiful "Reverie" for years, and now my son can download it for me thanks to your tenacity and kindness. I'm discovering this on our Canadian Thanksgiving Day weekend. How appropriate. I'm very grateful to you.

I tried these links, any other way to get this?

Story of my life, I'm a little too late to get what I'm looking for. Would someone mind e-mailing or re-hosting this file for a bit? I definitely would appreciate it. It'd be a shame for such a great song to be lost. I haven't seen this movie since the 80s, but I can still hum and whistle the "Reverie" like it was yesterday.

Hello,

I also remember this haunting masterpiece as a kid. I tried the provided links, but they must have expired. Is there any other way to download the song?

Many Thanks

Good thing it's such a neat song... :-)

Thank you very much! I have wanted this song forever. I grew up with this movie, and it will always be one of my favorites! What a shame it's fallen by the wayside.

For me, this song made the movie, haunting (OK, creepy) and unforgettable. I utterly hate sites like MegaUpload, so I hosted the files myself.

Short version:

Long version, audio rip from James Wyatt's YouTube video:

Enjoy.

By the way, someone somewhere asked for a translation. I can only pick out a few words about dreams, love, and Anna, but one might figure that much out, anyway. Maybe if I listen to it more or find the German lyrics....

There is no chance of downloading the movie from you is there? I have been searching for it and the vhs copies are flying off amazons shelf. I wonder why they never made a dvd copy if so many other people are into it. Thanks, Jen!

Wait, you asking me? The MP3 was the OP's, not mine. I just happened to have it and uploaded it again because the original link was dead.

I've been looking for this movie on all the torrent sites and while I've found some really, really obscure stuff, this one movie has eluded me.

I'm sure you're not reading this almost 2 years later, but just in case, it's going to be released on DVD in April 2010.
