I thought Steph’s Dad worked in a mine, but the description says it was a mill. Was it a steel mill? I get this film mixed up with October Sky and Norma Rae.

Steel mills were the shit back then it Pennsylvania. Ampipe was a steel town.
October Sky was coal.
I think Norma Rae was textile. Unsure of that one, but I think that's correct.
