Wait a minute, wasn't Greg just laid off?
So how was he coming out of the mill in the last scene?
shareSo how was he coming out of the mill in the last scene?
shareI thought the same thing and thought maybe he got hired back part time to demolish the blast furnace Stef mentioned at the party.
sharehmm
shareThey don't really tell you how much time had passed since the shouting match on the street and that final scene.
It is quite possible that Stef had been working that job for several weeks, which would have been plenty of time for his brother to get called back to work.
Before going into business for himself, a relative of mine worked a union job where he would be furloughed during down periods of the year, but then brought back whenever there became a need for more manpower.
Stef had mentioned just a scene or two prior to that, that he got a temp job tearing down some old blast furnace. It would appear that his brother got that job too. they were shoveling debris and you could see sparks flying from above them. this was not mill work, it was them disassembling the blast furnace.
They did not come out of the mill actually, they were riding on the back of a flatbed big truck back to the center of town probably where their cars were parked which happened to be right outside the mill. they blended in with the mill crew as they walked out where he met his girlfriend and coach.
It would appear that his brother got that job too. That's what I assumed.🐭 share
