I agree with rickyleeweber. My daughter and I love this movie. I have the greatest respect for John Walsh and am so very upset that I can't find a copy of Adam. Bring it back, please.

I just want to say that you may be able to get this movie. I watched this movie just this past year. I contacted my local library and they put in a Interlibrary loan request for me. I believe I ended up getting the video from the New York State Library.

I have not been able to find the video for the second movie that continued from where this one leaves off entitled "Adam: His Song Continues". I saw part of it once this year on Lifetime Channel on cable and didn't know it was on or I would have taped it to see again and again. I have tried interlibrary loan for this one too, but it came back declined. The only copy I was told was available was from Arizona, but they refused to depart with it.

I'm not sure, but I think it might be on DVD. But it would have been a good idea for local stations to air it around this time, because this Thursday, July 27 was the 25th (silver) anniversary of when Adam Walsh was abducted from the mall in Hollywood, FL, which began this whole thing. It was certainly a tradgedy and unfortunate, but did lead to something ultimately good (his father's crudades for this cause). I actually have no memory of when this first happened, or hearing anything about it then (it was overshawdowed by the upcoming Royal Wedding), but I did learn all about it over the next two years, and did see this movie when it first aired on NBC on Monday night, October 10, 1983 (was 15 and in 10th grade). I thought it was very good, though obviously disturbing (I watched it again a few years later on a syndicated station, but don't want to again, just not up to it). But I hope all who do wish to see it can find a copy, as it may be on DVD now.

Hi, I am new to the site, but one of the reasons I came here was I also was looking for this movie. After doing an extensive online search, I have found that this is available on Amazon.com. It is only available on VHS that I have found but I am going to post the web address for it, for anyone else that would like a copy. If you have a VCR and a DVD player that can record, you could always burn a copy onto a disc to extend the life of the movie.
