shareThe same thing, no doubt. Kessler knows the court process is messed up enough that a killer like Warren could sneak by on a insanity plea and never serve a long jail sentence.
Warren was naked in the middle of the street and began his speech of.."I am sick, you can't punish me for being sick. I didn't know what I was doing" Why would I kill people I don't even know?"
The witnesses were there and saw/heard it all, and would have to testify.
I wouldn't have shot him. How would we end up if every cop shoots criminals because of personals feelings? Although he makes a sacrifice he doesn't make the world any better. And obviously, Warren is sick.

I would have shot him. I probably would've hesitated like Bronson, but he would be dead in the end.
If I were in Kessler's place, I would have already seen:
- A dead man and two dead women who I'm sure were murdered by Stacy
- A diary and feedback from women confirming that Stacy is dangerous
- Obscene phone calls with threats being made to my daughter
- Three innocent women who are freshly murdered, lying in an ocean of blood
- My daughter being chased after, this after the police let him walk
I think this film is more effective than Dirty Harry, as much as I like Eastwood. In 10 to Midnight, women are being terrorized first-hand by this snake, which I think is a hundred times worse than being sniped from a rooftop. Bronson is given solid motivation for finishing Stacy off.
I would shoot him too without thinking it too much.
I have a question for the same scene:when Kessler shoots the guy, the moment he shoots him he suddenly closes his eyes and his face looks very shocked as if he was not expecting the "BANG" as if he got scared from the gun sound.I think Thompson made a mistake not noticing that.you guys that own the dvd check it out it's more clear if you watch it on slow motion What do you think?
